SLAM-Based Smart Helmet for Firefighters

Reliable real-world sensing system for emergency responders

A wearable SLAM-based smart helmet designed to help firefighters maintain spatial awareness inside smoke-filled, GPS-denied environments. The system combined onboard sensing with simultaneous localization and mapping to provide reliable trajectory information.

This project, along with indoor drone trajectory tracking, sparked my interest in reliable real-world AI systems and motivated my later move toward video understanding and anomaly detection.
